Imperfect Trails is a Trinidad and Tobago drama about three possible lives of a young woman shaped by one traumatic event: an illegal quarry blast during her birth in 1990, mere months after the attempted Coup. Each path follows a different choice her mother could have made. The daughter grows into a high-achieving perfectionist, a people-pleasing approval seeker, or an orphan raised by a progressive grandmother.
The film links unaddressed trauma with illegal quarrying in Trinidad's rainforests. Healing is personal, and it is also collective.
